Ennery, also known in Haitian Creole as Ènri, is a commune in Haiti’s Artibonite Department. It is located near Gonaïves and is known for its green valley, mountain scenery, rivers, and historic connection to Toussaint Louverture.
Ennery was founded in 1776 and is one of Haiti’s older towns. It is strongly connected to Toussaint Louverture, who owned land in the area and was later arrested there before being deported to France.
