Lascahobas, also known in Haitian Creole as Laskawobas, is a commune in Haiti’s Centre Department. It is located in the Central Plateau near the Dominican Republic border and serves as the main city of the Lascahobas Arrondissement.

History & Heritage
Lascahobas was settled around 1760 and was officially granted municipal status in 1814. Its history is connected to Taíno heritage, mahogany forests, colonial frontier life, post-independence military defense, and Haitian-Dominican border trade.
