Mirebalais, also known in Haitian Creole as Mibalè, is a commune and city in Haiti’s Centre Department. It serves as the seat of the Mirebalais Arrondissement and is one of the main inland centers of the Central Plateau, located between Port-au-Prince and Hinche.

Mirebalais has a long history connected to colonial settlement, military defense, the Haitian Revolution, and inland administration. The town was considered strategically important because of its mountain surroundings, fertile valley, and position near the Artibonite River.
